Kailua celebrates Independence Day with a massive fireworks and air show. The pyrotechnic show can be best seen at Kailua Beach Park where visitors can also find many vendors and entertainment.
For the third year in a row, this event is free and open to the public. Experience the thrill of a premier aerial parachute demonstration by the elite Para-Commandos of the US Special Operations Command. Enjoy free concerts with headliners Stone Temple Pilots and a fantastic fireworks display is planned for 9:00 p.m.
The Big Island is lit up by fireworks over Kailua Bay in celebration. This salute to hometown heroes is presented by The Kailua-Kona Community Parade Association in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of West Hawai'i and the Kailua Village Business Improvement District. Enjoy the patriotic parade, which runs down Ali’i Drive in Kailua-Kona. The firework show over Kailua Bay is set to start at 8:00 p.m.
In Lihue, Kauai Hospice’s Annual Concert in the Sky starts with family-friendly live music, games, activities for kids, and shopping. All the proceeds from the festival celebrating the nation's independence go to charity.
