KYLE REUTNER
Popular mixologist Kyle Reutner left his role behind the bar to join the team at Manulele Distillers in West O‘ahu. ROSS STEIDEL
Ross Steidel is the other half of Perfect Pour Cocktail Co., which launched in 2013 and elevated the bartending game on the Valley Isle. He finds pleasure in concocting a proper mojito, eschewing the commonly used mint simple syrup or refined sugar for double-strained muddled mint and confectioners' sugar. “It dissolves quickly and evenly, and adds viscosity and an opaque color to the mix,” says Steidel.
