From digital media maven to mother of three, Dar does it all... in some very chic (and eco-friendly) flats!
What’s your fashion philosophy?
Invest in quality brands and don’t second guess your intuition. That, and I would describe my style as ‘elevated casual.’
What is your style secret weapon?
As a mom of three kids, my go-to shoes are flats or sneakers. Rothy’s makes incredible flats that are made from repurposed plastic bottles. They are supercomfortable and chic. My fashion splurges are Chiara Boni dresses and Sophie Monet jewelry.
What’s your approach to makeup? Fresh and natural. I keep my makeup simple because I’m incredibly busy, but I always want to
look ‘put together.’ I never leave the house without my brows done and sunscreen on, but I don’t even use mascara anymore unless I have to meet with clients!
Who is your style icon?
My mom, Marivic Dar. Her closet is unreal! She’s basically my own personal Rent the Runway.
What are your favorite places to shop in Hawai‘i?
Fighting Eel, Ginger13 and Kira Hawaii
What is your off-duty style?
High-rise skinny jeans, a classic white long-sleeved polo, Sophie Monet earrings and white sneakers.
What’s the best style advice you’ve gotten?
It’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed.
