Ala Moana Center is well known for being one of Hawai‘i’s top shopping meccas—celebrating its 60th anniversary, in fact!—but the food scene is also something of which to take note. The Center’s one-of-a-kind eatery, Vintage Cave Club, offers members and nonmembers a unique dining experience surrounded by true luxury. Think private dining rooms and an exquisite art collection, not to mention multicourse menus that include the highest ranking Japanese A5 wagyu. Then there’s Vintage Cave Cafe for an exceptional afternoon tea and Italian eats for lunch and dinner in a cathedral-like setting. Local favorite Liliha Bakery recently opened its third location inside Macy’s. For alfresco dining, a fully stocked bar and a taste of Italy and the Mediterraean, discerning diners turn to Ruscello, the 5,500 square-foot resto inside Nordstrom. And, of course, there are the longtime tenants Mariposa (inside Neiman Marcus) and Morton’s (mortons.com, reservations recommended) that cater to a chic crowd of regulars.
