The Party
Just like clockwork, watch aficionados from the islands and beyond made their way to Ala Moana Center for the retailer’s celebration of gorgeously crafted luxury timepieces.
The Scene
In a fitting gesture for a family business founded more than 100 years ago, President and Co-CEO Ed Bridge; his wife, Pam; and son Mark flew into Honolulu just for the occasion. And as watches continue to hold their place as one of the prime male accessories, Honolulu’s professional gents made their pilgrimage—among them, Earl Ford, Bryan Luke, Dr. James Scoggin and Dr. Ramin Jamm.
The Highlights
Stunning pieces from the likes of Breitling, Tag Heuer and others simply stunned onlookers with their combination of sumptuous design and tradition. (Who knew that Breguet, for instance, had actually created the first wristwatch for the Queen of Naples in 1812?) And when shoppers needed to take a break from browsing, there was a host of premium spirits to sip, from Jameson Gold Reserve to Glenlivet 18. –Photos by Tracy Chan
