The Party: Temperatures rose at the Hawaii Convention Center when 10 of Hawai‘i’s culinary finest set up their kitchens for the 17th annual Honolulu Festival Friendship Gala. The Players: Dan Cooke and Kei Sagawa emceed the event while eclectic performances by Dai Hirai and Alex Tomita hyped up the crowd with reggae vibes. Jill Kuramoto was seen sharing plates with Nathan Kam. State senator and former on-air personality, Brickwood Galuteria also showed his support for the cause. The Pacific-Asian theme was felt in every detail from center stage—lined with red and white paper lanterns—to the display area accented with gold and yellow dragons. Photos by Lan Thai
