At the tony Pacific Club, the Women’s Fund of Hawai‘i and supporters celebrated its fabulous 11th Annual Tea & Champagne.

THE PARTY For Women’s Fund of Hawai‘i’s festive (and sold out) fundraiser, a record crowd of 320 stylish guests descended upon Honolulu’s Pacific Club all to support the nonprofit’s robust, innovative, grassroots programs that empower women and girls right here in the islands. The beauty of its mission became especially clear when a beneficiary offered a heartfelt testimonial on how a WFH grant changed her life.

THE GUESTS A host of movers and shakers were spotted in the room, including state Rep. Della Au Belatti, Honolulu Biennial Foundation co-founder Isabella Hughes, Women’s Yoga in America founder Matilda VidegĂ„rd, former WFH President and current American Savings Bank Senior VP Beth Whitehead and business owner Judy Bishop.

THE HIGHLIGHTS The much-anticipated Dessert Dash, featuring delectables by some of the islands’ most celebrated chefs, caused the usual mad melee. But the results of the fete were even sweeter: Over $170,000 was raised to help women and girls. Now, that truly deserves a Champagne toast! –Kai Andersen; photos by Travis Okimoto
