Los Angeles residents Camille Brady and Jackie Brady conceived their luxury swimwear line CAMI AND JAX on the beaches where they were raised in Hanalei. The idyllic shores of the Garden Isle inspired the ocean-minded sisters to create a brand that blends fashion and function, appealing to both surfers and jet-setters alike. Like the brand itself, the 2019 collection was inspired by the water. This season, it was the tranquil sea of the Mediterranean, including spots like the iconic Amalfi Coast—evident in the design and colorways. Postcards from dream destinations such as Monaco, Positano and the south of France also sparked the designers’ imaginations. Think bold stripes and chic solids in contrasting hues of midnight blue and sunrise orange alongside bright whites and cool grays. “This collection was influenced by the simple nautical zest of a European summer,” says Camille. “Everything flows together to evoke that aura.” I Heart Hanalei, 5-5016 Kuhio Highway, Ste. 1A, Hanalei; Shipwrecked Kauai, 4-1384 Kuhio Highway, Ste.
