As the new face of Dior’s latest lipstick launch, Cara Delevingne mouths off on acceptance, advocacy and the empowering effect of a perfectly painted pout.
Cara Delevingne, whose new Amazon thriller, Carnival Row, debuts this year, wears Dior Addict Stellar Shine lipstick in No. 976 Be Dior.
“Lipstick isn’t just for when you want to feel pretty, but when you want to feel bold or strong,” says supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne.
The British-born beauty knows a thing or two about transforming pretty into power. One of the most famous faces of the film, fashion and beauty industries, Delevingne is the new muse of the Dior Capture Youth skincare collection as well as its recently bowed Dior Addict Lipstick line. “Dior has always been a brand that I admired, and I feel grateful to be included in the company of the other brand ambassadors that I share the title with, like Natalie Portman, Bella Hadid and Charlize Theron,” she says.
Delevingne is known for her frank authenticity, both on social media and IRL, so when she vouches for a product, her loyal fans take her at her word. “I genuinely love the product. The formula is so unique and lovely,” she says of the new lipsticks, adding that she’s partial to the Be Dior shade. “I like pink when it is bold.”

The beauty, known for her bold brows and iconic moments on the runway, adheres to an admittedly simple routine when not working. “I prefer to wear just some sunscreen, mascara and maybe some eyebrow gel during the day,” she says. “At night, I like to throw on a great lip.”
When asked if there are any beauty blunders she regrets, her unapologetically authentic nature shines as always. “I’ve had a lot of interesting looks between my jobs on the screen, runway and editorial,” she says. “I wouldn’t call any a mistake; I would just say each has been an experience.”
A champion of myriad causes, Delevingne says, “I am currently feeling very passionate about youth and mental health. Both of those causes are extremely crucial to our future, so I really find it important to invest time into supporting both causes.” Her advocacy for self-acceptance is echoed in some sage advice she received at an early age and one to note for all. “My mom told me never to touch my eyebrows, and it turned out for the best.”
