Specialty steakhouse Hy’s Steak House, known for its fresh, delicious cuts of meat and tranquil ambiance, hosts a delicious fall brunch (Oct. 28) with all of the fixings. The reservation-only brunch features both sweet and savory dishes, and we have a list of must-try menu items. On the From The Pantry menu, opt for the Kiawe grilled Spanish octopus salad prepared with arugula, bell peppers, red onions, blue cheese crumbles, topped with toasted Anahola granola and drizzled with a Meyer lemon vinaigrette. Indulge on fresh auction spicy ahi poke with won-ton crisps, or the poached Hokkaido scallops and fresh oysters on the half shell from the Fruit De Mer Seafood Bar. The Hawaiian french toast with Kona coffee crème anglaise looks—and sounds—delicious not to mention the steamed alaskan crab and the butter sautéed Hawaiian scrambled eggs. But the center piece of the brunch is sure to be the signature carving station. Diners flock to the savory slow-roasted prime strip loin with special Hy’s sauce au poivre or the smoked Hudson Valley duck breast with a blackberry-port demi-glace.
