Culinary Cool - Herringbone

To celebrate Herringbone Waikiki's opening at International Market Place, Hakkasan Group threw an exclusive invitation-only private dinner. A who's who of Honolulu—think top chef Alan Wong and surf lensman Zak Noyle—gathered to share in the traditional Hawaiian blessing before settling down for a family-style dinner in the 2,000-square-foot open-air lanai. Throughout the event, songstress Kimie Miner set the mood with her soulful sounds. From stunning seafood towers to picture-perfect appetizers, every course impressed diners. Just before dessert, creator and founder Brian Malarkey thanked guests for joining, as well as the staff and local partners—Mililani's Mari's Gardens and Ho Farms, to name just a few—for helping him bring his culinary concept to Waikiki.
