THE PARTY More than 1,000 people turned out for Passport to Luxury, a perfectly posh evening of chic boutique shopping that was part of Shop a Le‘a, Ala Moana Center’s weeklong shopping and fashion festival. Attendees indulged in tasty bites and cocktails while scooping up the stores’ one-night-only offers. THE HIGHLIGHTS In-the-know invitees hit up the stores, getting their passports stamped for the much-awaited raffle for luxury products. In-store silent auctions featured coveted sacks from Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Miu Miu, Fendi, Bally and Bulgari, as well as a stay in a deluxe suite at the Trump International Hotel Waikiki Beach Walk. All proceeds from the silent auction went to the Kapi‘olani Health Foundation, The Campaign for Hawai‘i’s Children. THE PLAYERS Twenty luxury boutiques starred in the event, along with local eateries, such as Chef Mavro, Wai‘olu Ocean View Lounge, The Pineapple Room, Salt, Tango Contemporary Café, Apartment3, Formaggio Grill, Hy’s Steak House, Mariposa, Hokulani Bake Shop, Café Julia, Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Assaggio Ristorante Italiano.
