Surf artist and designer Eduardo Bolioli began his career in Honolulu in the mid-’80s painting surfboards for pro surfers, including world champion Sunny Garcia from Wai‘anae, Hawai‘i. His vibrant works are renowned for capturing the beauty and energy of the ocean and are inspired by island life and the abundance of colors found here.
“Living in Hawai‘i influences me in every possible way,” he says. “I haven’t found a precise phrase to describe my work yet… it’s modern, pop and figurative with a touch of Hawaiiana. If I have to describe it in one word, it would be happy.” eduardobolioli.com, @eduardobolioli
