Aloha Hawaii performance polo from Avanti Hawaii’s golfwear collection
SHOP From tropical scenes and flowers to bold, bright colors, Avanti Hawaii’s alohawear has been a Hawai‘i staple since 1991. Now, the family-owned and -operated lifestyle brand takes to the links with its recently launched golf collection, which features polos and towels in a series of classic Hawaiian patterns. Avanti director Vincent Hui notes the launch is in response to a spike in outdoor activities seen throughout the pandemic. “Taking our vintage-inspired prints, we wanted to produce something that could take you from Sunday brunch to the golf course,” he says. With a four-way stretch, moisture-wicking and quick-dry technology, and eye-catching motifs, these pieces guarantee a style hole-in-one. Also new for the brand, Avanti recently released a collaborative collection with October’s Very Own. 2164 Kalakaua Ave., Honolulu, avantihawaii.com

Kapena li hing-infused tequila is made from agave that is aged a minimum of eight to 10 years.
SIP Kapena Tequila believes quality is well worth the wait. Incorporating islandcentric flavors like li hing mui and Hawaiian chile pepper into its aged tequilas, Kapena has three signature blends. “Sharing the ‘āina and flavors of Hawai‘i—that is my bartending mantra, and Kapena Tequila perfectly aligns with that,” says mixology influencer Tim Rita. For a refreshing cocktail, he recommends Kapena li hing-infused tequila, with the flavors of li hing mui, a sweet dried plum. In the fall months, Rita reaches for Kapena Hawaiian chile reposado. This spirit combines Hawaiian chile pepper with the finest 100% agave reposado tequila to optimize the experience. kapenatequila.com
