Hublot’s new Big Bang Unico High Jewelry Rainbow is the perfect standout piece for any time of the year, whether you’re looking to brighten up a cold winter outfit or fully embrace the bright and bold colors characteristic of summer. The watch is a dazzlingly-brilliant display with 290 gemstones that transition seamlessly from one color to the next. Deep scarlet blends into a full-bodied fuchsia, which then welcomes ultraviolet, a dash of Klein blue, turquoise and sky. A fresh chlorophyll-hued green ushers in sunshine yellow before coming full circle with a soft, warm orange.
The watch, which is encased in a 45-mm invisible closed setting, features an 18-carat pink gold backdrop and alligator strap that serve as a conduit for the true stars of the show. The sparkling rainbow gemstones are expertly selected, cut, sorted and set by the artisanal Swiss luxury watchmakers.
“It requires meticulousness, expertise and dexterity to obtain this harmonious gradation of the gemstones and create a perfect connection between the emotion they arouse and the watchmaking technique,” Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe is quoted in a press release. He speaks to the quality of the draftsmen, gemologists and setters who’ve crafted this timepiece with the utmost care and sensibility.
Guadalupe sees the Big Bang Unico High Jewelry Rainbow as just the latest in a long line of Hublot timepiece innovations, adding that the company was inspired to pair gold and rubber together in what it refers to as the “art of fusion.”
Every timepiece the Swiss brand dreams up is inspired by its guiding philosophy to “Be First, Different and Unique,” and the Big Banc Unico in rainbow is certainly no exception.
