Having grown up on the North Shore himself, Jake Nowicki understands that a trip to Hale‘iwa simply isn’t complete without stopping for a refreshing shave ice after a long day of playing in the surf. He noticed a need for a shave-ice shop that used quality all-natural ingredients for people to enjoy and spent six months testing options free of artificial flavors, colors and preservatives before opening Kaimana Shave Ice in November 2018. The shop makes all of its bold, rich syrups (and three flavors of homemade ice cream—vanilla, macadamia nut and banana) in-house daily to provide customers with the freshest shave ice possible.
