The Party: La Pietra’s annual fundraiser, HOOPLA, did its own take on the APEC summit and made its theme this year, La Pietra Entertainment Central (LPEC). Tables were decorated to showcase the following economies: Korea, China, Japan, Canada, USA (Hawai‘i) and Australia. The Players: Two alumnae co-chaired the event, classmates Kelly Hoen and Deborah Weil-Manuma. The Cause: A fundraiser for the school’s financial aid fund, the event was held at the Royal Hawaiian.
