Tom Ford launches ultraluxe high-performance skincare collection Tom Ford Research—his most advanced beauty breakthrough to date.
Like his perfectly tailored frocks, when Tom Ford puts his passion into a new project, his Midas touch yields undeniably sexy, sophisticated and incredibly smart results. Ever since his first foray into beauty with the launch of the Black Orchid scent in 2006, Ford has earned a cult following for his elegant makeup collection, bodycare and statement-making fragrances. With this month’s debut of Tom Ford Research, the newly appointed CFDA chairman turns his expert eye toward serious skincare.
Ford developed a dedicated research team to study cell energy and learn how to help combat visible signs of aging. “My vision is to merge breakthrough skin science with true luxury to create transformative skincare, regardless of skin type or gender. This is the reason I established Tom Ford Research,” he says. “Working closely with a team of scientists, we developed what is truly remarkable and delivers undeniable visible results.”
Powerful ingredients such as white porcelain cacao, caffeine and gyokuro (green tea extract) combine to boost the skin’s natural energy and combat skin stressors such as air pollution, and UV and blue light damage. The serum concentrate, for example, offers a trio of skin-energizing ingredients: alpha hydroxy acids to brighten, peptides to improve fine lines, and antioxidants. The crème concentrate has an additional hyaluronic acid, algae extract and retinol compound for those looking for an even more intense treatment. Both the serum and the crème are designed to be used together, but can also be applied separately depending on skincare needs. “My vision,” Ford says, “is to create skincare on the cutting edge of science that contains the most advanced, effective ingredients designed for maximum impact.” Sounds like we just met our little black dress of skincare.
