Join in the Healing Power of Music at #MauiStrong Benefit Concert

In the wake of the devastating Maui wildfires that struck on August 8, the people of Maui are coming together to harness the power of music for a cause. The Wiwoʻole Maui Benefit Concert taking place on Saturday, August 19, at the Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, is dedicated to raising essential disaster relief funds for the victims of the wildfires and supporting the affected communities across the island and the historic town of Lahaina.
Presented by Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and in partnership with The Office of Hawaiian Affairs, KITV4 News, Pacific Media Group, and emceed by Malika Dudley, the Wiwoʻole Maui Benefit Concert will be live-streamed worldwide from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hawaiʻi Standard Time. Audiences can tune in on ‘Āina Momona’s website and participating artists’ social media platforms to experience the powerful performances. Maui’s most celebrated recording artists and hālau, including Kimié Miner, Hoaka, Piʻilani Arias, Hālau Kekuaokalāʻauʻalaʻiliahi and more, are coming together to show support through the unifying force of mele (music) in times of hardship.
The Lahaina wildfire has now become the deadliest in U.S. history in over a century, adding another layer of urgency to the need for support and relief. Proceeds from Wiwoʻole #MauiStrong will be stewarded through Native Hawaiian ‘Āina Momona at Wiwoʻole Maui Benefit Concert and the Maui Strong Fund at The Hawai‘i Community Foundation.
