Modern Luxury Hawai‘i Presents the Art of Giving 2020

Modern Luxury Hawai‘i along with sponsors BMW of Honolulu, Elite Pacific Properties and Bvlgari presented the 2nd annual Art of Giving black-tie affair at 53 by the Sea.The evening kicked off with an intimate cocktail hour teeming with excitement at the BMW of Honolulu showroom. The reception was complete with handcrafted cocktails–inspired by our sponsors– by mixologist Teves Freitas including specialty ice from On the Rock, a custom interactive video experience courtesy of Time Stoppers 360, plus beats by DJ Anit. BMW of Honolulu provided luxury transportation from the showroom to waterfront restaurant, 53 by the Sea in its top-of-the-line 7-series vehicles. There, guests indulged in a 5-course dinner artfully crafted by Chef Yoshi Ohata, paired with fine wines hand selected by local Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo. Dinner was followed by a decadent Bvlgari-inspired dessert bar prepared by pastry chef Adriana Wolf.
Following dinner, the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) presented a short film, Reverence, by local Hawai‘i director Keli‘i Grace. Award-winning musician Lehua Kalima, alongside Kala‘e Camarillo, then proceeded to close out the night with their smooth acoustic guitar talents and rich vocals. Each guest received a takeaway bag filled with luxe gifts from each of our sponsors.
The event benefited HIFF, which celebrates its 40th anniversary during 2020.
