While Mugen (mugenwaikiki.com), ESPACIO The Jewel of Waikiki’s five-star rated restaurant, has long been one of our favorite fine-dining destinations, their offerings got all the sweeter with their new breakfast experience. Previously only available to guests of ESPACIO (espaciowaikiki.com), the lauded restaurant is now offering this delightful menu to the public. Executive Chef Colin Sato’s lineup includes elevated takes on Hawaiian classic dishes, like a Loco Moco made with Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, Tsuyahimerice, veal jus and a fresh Waialua quail egg. Other standouts include the Lobster Egg Benedict served with truffle hollandaise and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with mango-lilikoi curd and compressed pineapple. The breakfast continues the Mugen tradition of sourcing the finest local ingredients, including cacao from Mānoa Chocolate and coffee exclusively blended for ESPACIO by Tradition Coffee in Kailua. Those looking for a boozy brunch can pair it with mimosas by the glass or a bottle of Champagne.
