Celebrate the year’s end by watching fireworks from Poipu Beach Park in the southern Kauai town of Koloa. Attendees do not have to wait long after dusk for the early evening fireworks show to begin, but watch out for flying firecrackers on the way and while there.

Come together to countdown the new year at the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show visible along Waikiki Beach, sponsored by the members of the Waikiki Improvement Association. Starting at 11:55pm from a barge just off Waikiki Beach, one announcement salute will be fired every minute until 1 minute before midnight. The opening begins with a flurry of color and thunder, filling the sky to a height of three hundred feet; the main act concludes with a display of beautiful and powerful scenes featuring the Grucci Gold Split Comet; and the grand finale ends with a starry umbrella of Golden Kamaru shells. Be sure to tune into Country 97.5, AM760/95.1 FM or 107.9 Hawaii’s Kool Gold to enjoy choreographed music with the fireworks show starting at midnight.
