THE PARTY To support its ongoing mission of fostering environmental awareness and stewardship in the islands through education, Hawai‘i Nature Center threw a fun Friday-night fete at Honolulu’s exclusive The Pacific Club. THE PLAYERS Hawai‘i Nature Center’s Executive Director Dyanna Okazaki, President Bettina Mehnert, former President Jan Sullivan and directors Jeff Case, Ryan Churchill and Piia Aarma; Steve Rogers, Deena Dray, Louis Johnson THE HIGHLIGHTS Movers and shakers from Honolulu’s business community, including the likes of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc., Bank of Hawaii and First Hawaiian Bank, showed up in force at The Pacific Club. As the party got underway, talented ‘ukulele player Kelson Lee strummed island melodies, creating the perfect low-key atmosphere on the elegant lawn. As the sun set, guests avidly bid on hot silent auction items, including a trip to Kaua‘i, while learning about the nonprofits’ activities around the islands. Photography by Travis Okimoto
