THE PARTY To kick off its latest collaboration—a limited-edition line of surf-inspired wear with Hurley—Sig Zane Designs threw an island-style bash at the iconic Duke’s Waikiki. THE PLAYERS Sig Zane, Hurley founder and chairman Bob Hurley, Kuhao Zane, Hawai‘i Island Mayor Billy Kenoi, Seth McKinney, Daniel Ikaika Ito, Lindsey Higa, Matt Bruening, Bryan Luke THE SCENE Seeing the diverse crowd, it was clear that Zane’s appeal in Hawai‘i extends far and wide. Downtown fashionistas mingled with surfers dressed in Zane’s signature patterns. In perfect local style, the party included a “talk story” session, where the Hilo-based creator discussed his experiences. Afterward, guests learned that the collection, though just released at the time, was almost entirely sold out in Hurley stores! BEST IN SHOW An avid surfer, Zane kicked off the party by surfing into Waikīkī with a crew of wave-riders from Team Hurley, including surf pro Rob Machado. Justin Dotson
