The Party
Leave it to Louis Vuitton to host one of the most sumptuous soirees of the spring season. To truly celebrate its expanded boutique at Ala Moana Center, the maison invited Hawai‘i’s who’s who for a lavish reception at the former residence of the Hawaiian monarchy. In perfect harmony with the company’s support of the arts, the night honored the Honolulu Museum of Art.
The People
Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet, CEO and president of Louis Vuitton Americas, and Dale Ruff, regional vice president of Louis Vuitton Hawaii, were the consummate hosts of the evening. Guests from Honolulu’s social sphere included Kristen Chan and Dr. Michael Chan, as well as Nobuhide and Tiana Torii.
The Highlights
The grand entry up the steps of ‘Iolani Palace set the opulent tone for the festivities to come. On the lānai, guests were treated to an utterly chic cocktail reception, served by dashing waiters. From there, the Royal Guard led the way to a gorgeously decorated tent, where legendary New York chef David Bouley served a dinner that dazzled from the first bite. (Even the asparagus amazed!) In a surprise twist, celebrated entertainer Amy Hānaiali‘i performed a set of favorite songs, the perfect accompaniment to the luscious dessert. –Photos courtesy of Louis Vuitton/Rae Huo Photography
