Why Special Olympics Hawai‘i? Their mission to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, health, education, and leadership programs resonates deeply with me. By contributing to this mission, I’m supporting a cause that creates real, positive change and moves us closer to a more inclusive and equitable society.
How can people help? With my peers in Commercial Real Estate we created Team Drop808, dedicated to supporting and raising awareness for the athletes. We participate in Over the Edge, its annual event where participants rappel 40 stories down from the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. I encourage others to join us at events like Cheer For Champions, where you can witness firsthand the dedication of athletes, staff, and volunteers as they prepare for the summer games. It’s a motivating experience.
