While she resides in Orange County, her home state will forever influence the Honolulu-born-and-raised Jensen. “The majestic beauty of the islands really puts things into perspective. You grow up seeing so much beauty, it’s hard to think we can ever compete,” she says. “My design style is more associated with stripping away ornamentation and allowing the purity and drama of form and shape, shadow and light to be focused and impactful.” Here, she shares a few of her favorite picks.

“In our home as a kid, I loved playing with my father’s vast collection of Polynesian weapons from his trips. As applied to interior design, I love the texture and intrigue that sculptural weapons bring to a room, specifically in contemporary homes.” Polynesian Weapons, oceanicart.com

“I’m all about the Japanese styling and the use of conscious materials like baby alpaca or Japanese Cotton. The casual yet architectural shapes in easy fabrics make them meeting-appropriate or paired with rubber slippers.” Atelier Delphine, atelierdelphine.com

“If you are looking for authentic relics from Hawai‘i, this is a great place to search from time to time. If your vibe leans to the contemporary, try searching for Hawaiian-focused art with the search word ‘Hawai‘i’” 1stDibs, 1stdibs.com

“The premium, all-natural undyed collections are amazing. Crafted by true master weavers, the rugs’ geometric callings evoke minimalism by telling stories through indigenous patterning.” Amara Rugs, amararugs.com

“My personal style is non-descript, urban. I love wearing my husband’s clothes, black baseball caps and sneakers or suits with sneakers. However, my go-to uniform is a black jumpsuit like this one from Pistola.” Pistola Denim, pistoladenim.com
