VIPs gathered to support personal philanthropy at an exceptional level at the Alexis de Tocqueville Society Kickoff Event.
THE PARTY
An intimate fete to celebrate the spirit of giving was held for the Aloha United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society, founded in honor of the famed French historian who wrote passionately about the American spirit of volunteerism for a common good.
THE GUESTS
O‘ahu’s elite philanthropic community was out in full force. Think well-known business leaders and socialites such as Dennis and Marge Francis, Walter and Diane Dods, Chris Benjamin, Russell Lau, and Mitch D’Olier.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Attendees enjoyed the cuisine from Artizen by MW restaurant, and toasted to the efforts of the Aloha United Way. The organization focuses on poverty prevention, education and providing a safety net to those in need. The contributions from the members of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society give a strong cornerstone to changing lives on O‘ahu. That’s something Tocqueville would be proud of, indeed. -Kathryn Drury Wagner
