Enjoy a performance—and a signature Halekulani cocktail—at a beautiful sunset venue as Exotica returns to Hawai‘i 65 years after its first creation.
The sounds of Exotica, a musical genre described as an easy-listening mix of tiki, bachelor pad, and globe trotter fantasy, will be heard at House Without A Key at Halekulani on Nov. 24 and 25 from 5:30-8 p.m. Waikiki’s iconic poolside venue is bringing the music of Exotica back by hosting two nights of live performances by The Waitiki 7—consisting of seven conservatory trained professional musicians (four from Honolulu). “Exotica music brought Hawai‘i’s musicians to the world stage,” says Randy Wong, bassist and co-founder of WAITIKI 7. “The music is a beautiful, cultural tapestry—an artistic interpretation of the melting pot that makes living in Hawai‘i so special. We’re thrilled to return this music to its roots.” halekulani.com
