THE PARTY For Maui Preparatory Academy, popular resto Pineapple Grill threw a benefit dinner, featuring San Francisco culinary stars chef Gary Danko of Restaurant Gary Danko and chef Nancy Oakes of Boulevard Restaurant, along with Executive Chef Deborah Scott of Cohn Restaurant Group. THE PLAYERS Dean Otto, president of the school’s board of trustees, Chris Kaiwi, vice president and managing partner of Pineapple Grill THE HIGHLIGHTS Pairings by Rajat Parr of Sandhi Wines and Pax Mahle of Wind Gap Winery were spectacular, as was the check for $6,500 presented to the school.
