Imagine communing with a group of creatives to work on breathwork, sound healing, yoga or dance in a beautiful setting while feasting on healthy local food and drink. Such was the vision of Angel Deihl, the founder of Shift Culture (shiftculture.com), a new event company looking to create unique, curated experiences.

After 20 years of event experience in Los Angeles and Hawai‘i, Deihl was inspired to start something new during the pandemic that reflected what she felt the community needed. She partnered with the Anatha Group to fund a series of events to gather safely. “Our community is full of creative individuals seeking to collaborate with other conscious artists and creators, to connect and thrive together,” says Deihl. “We curate events that are based around an experience that brings the conscious community together so that we all can inspire each other and grow collectively.” Each Shift Culture experience is uniquely planned to fit its particular location, from a private waterfront home to a trendy hotel bar, and partners with conscious eco-friendly brands, vegan chefs and caterers, and serves a variety of healthy drink options. Deihl developed a passion for health and wellness after facing health issues as a young adult. Her intense personal research led her to connect with a group of holistic health professionals, and soon she wished to share this lifestyle with the broader community. Recent successful soirees have included sustainable fashion shows, brand activations and a Wellness Weekend at the Aroma Caffe at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. Soon the O‘ahu-based company will be expanding to host intimate retreats on the Hawaiian Islands. As she puts it, “It’s all about evolvement with involvement.”
